The Tracer combines different networking tools in a single software program. Traceroute is useful for displaying the route (path) and measuring transit delays of packets across the Internet. Whois is used for querying the databases that store the registered users or assignees of a domain name or an IP address. The port scanner probes a server or host for open ports to verify security policies identifying running services.
